What if?

by Joseph J. Biernacki

In imagining things that cannot be we push our growth to find a path that’s true.  Might we discover a better place through the whimsies of our dreams.

What would it be like,

If Earth was a bubble

Instead of a ball

And we lived inside,

And walked on the wall?

What would it be like,

If the grass was blue

And the sky was green,

And the oceans were sweet,

And no one was mean?

What would it be like,

If time never changed,

The clock didn’t tock,

And the sun never set,

And birds didn’t flock?

What would it be like,

If all had their lot,

With Christmas in June,

And no apples in Fall,

And there wasn’t a moon?

What would it be like,

If we all got along,

If things were all shared,

There was never a storm,

And no need to be scared?

What if?
